Art and Design…. Are these two Same?


There is no context that can define a clear border between art and design. When speaking of visual projects, art and design are inseparable parts. You need creativity and free flowing thought that comes with the artistic direction and collaboration of design. These things together will help you create something unique.


 Art is interpreting a story, while design is being an actor.  Techniques and methodology are using for both do not establish a limit either.
If we look at the vocabulary of each, art and design, art sets out to discover which idea needs to be expressed while design focuses on how to express things beautifully in new ways.

Artistic ability is a talent that a person is born with. It can be cultivated and refined but part of the ability is innate. Design can be taught and learned.  Often many of the people who have born artistic ability are drawn to design but you don’t have to be an artist to succeed as a designer

You can find beauty of art in a design and you can find a well executed design that is artful. So take a minute before you judge, and allow art and design to coexist.
